Looking great Daniel, you will have her in the water soon, she has a lovely shape and great looking superstructure,

best regards John.

Hello John ,Thank you for your post.
I am at the stage of placing the rc gear inside and decided to move the rudder servo in the cabin for easier acces
Will do an acces panel at the rudder for servicing and stuff and have to find a way to transfer the movement of the servo eficiently
After glueing the cabins walls will put the deck on
Kind regard , Daniel

To me it looks like some serious progress, Daniel. You are on a very good way now - I am so glad to see that you have overcome the most challenging part of the build. From now on, I hope it will be all plain sailing so to speak.

Hello Heinrich ,
The next big step is the deck , but to reach that I have to finish the decorations in the middle of the ship. After I have to glue the cabins walls and then the plywood for the deck.
I tryied to 3d print the ship wheel but is a very fine piece and I am not so happy with the result.
Next will be on cnc from 3 mm brass plate
I have to find a good filler for the hull that is on the same hardness with the wood -I used obeche strips that are really soft wood .
Kind regards, Daniel

Hello Magic Mike!
I have only a proxxon mf 70 mill and some proxxon rotary tools. Most of the work is made with hand tools
The rest is made in friends and family workshops where I learn a bit watching my betters!
For the steam engine I have the help of an uncle retired now and great builder of steam locomotives.
He has a track in the yard and tinker a lot with steam engines20220806_181044.jpg20220806_181048.jpg20220806_181228.jpg
