I have to wonder under what circumstances this was ever even discovered. Apart from the question of why there would ever be a need to do such a thing, I'm not sure this would pass a basic risk analysis. Not that I haven't gotten away with my share of not-so-well-thought-out power tool adventures...It is also true, if you've heard it, that when table-sawing the wood in the dark you get a sparking light show.
