love this work . your pining of the planks with tree nails is superb - ideally for other builders they should be wood and would - like yours hardly show as they would be the same timber as the decks and planking

For your information English ships of war had a different way of fixing ropes to the guns.
You are right as hey had a single rear rope (French and Spanish ships had two)
I can send you details of how guns where riggged for
1.. Run Out like yours
2, run in for re loading
3 rigged when in port (The rear rope was removed for safeltt)
4. Rigged while at sea with barrel fixed to the side of the ship
