Don't follow the instructions blindly or you may fall in some traps. Just think ahead. The cannons are only one of the things that occre does not take in account in the instructions. In my case I made the holes for the eyes before gluing the walkways, everything is prepared to receive the eyes...

I am building that model also, but due to health issues the building is stopped for some time now. Hoping to resume it soon. It is a good model, but I made some changes namely to the cannon ports. You can see it here...

OK, Thanks. Good job with the props. I didn't know that the masts were painted, always thought they were natural wood. But that depend on the ship, of course. I don't know much about the French Navy of the XVII century, namely about the SR. Cumps. JL
