Hello,
I’ve recently started building the ZHL All Sealed Black Pearl model. It’s my very first model so I’m very new any of this but I’m trying my best to make it look good as I can as I’m very passionate about this specific ship.
I’m up to the stage where I’m covering the entire hull in walnut planks and I’ve had a thought about the painting.
(I’m aware my work table is quite messy)
As you can see in this image I’m laying the planks on the hull. However, as I discovered with the deck I painted black inside the captains cabin it’s quite difficult to get the black paint in between the walnut planks and to the lighter wood underneath.
So my question is, should I be painting the hull made up of just the lighter coloured wood black and then lay the walnut planks over it (then painting the walnut planks back after). Or should I just keep laying the planks and paint it all black at once at the end.
