Started this project 10/23. Very good kit.
Going good so far. Now for the hard part. Close the planking. After the hull is closed, sanded and painted I need to go back to decking to put in tree nails. A lot of work to do!

Beautiful job Jack. Your doing great. Do you have any pictures of the stern ? I am working on the filler blocks and I could use some help figuring them out.

The fillers took a lot of work. A lot of sanding to get them in so they help with the hull planking. . A lot of sanding at the stern.

The hull takes a lot of work. I’m going to paint the forward bow area to see how the black ceiling is going to look. Onward

Irking on the gun ports. On my next project I’ll pay more attention to the ports when working on the hull planking. The next step will be to paint the plank sheer then the ceiling then then the bullwark planks in that order. Lastly I’m going to stain the deck oak.
That should keep me busy for a while.

Next will be rest of the hull in two differs shades of green like model expo ms 4801 bulwarks dark green then maybe grass green on

What techniques did you use to bend the rails for the bulwarks and keep them flat.

I used a hand plank bender. There wasn’t mush of a bend Except at the stern. It’s sort of cheating but it worked
