Wow, Dave that’s lovely and an unusual subject too.
The hull was single planked and the I used a slurry of fine silica sand and white glue. After it dried I painted the hull with acrylics. I have a build log posted in scratch builds.Great to see an iron-hulled sailship as a model. Beautiful!
You can see the future of the steam-liner hulls in her shape, especially her stern.
Is the model planked, then "covered" to look like iron?
I live in Philadelphia and we have the Moshulu here, another iron sailship with an impressive history.
