I ran out of rigging line on a 20 year old model. Tried to buy matching from Model Expo. Not a good match (was supposed to be .5mm but came in thicker, not as smooth and darker beige color). Any advice on a good place to try?

You can't go wrong with Syren Ship rigging! I've NEVER had a problem with it, & it looks fantastic! Rick1011

Thanks so much. I’ll check those out.
@Yas Check my favorite stores for all times. The quality of their rigging lines is unbelievable. They are so true to the scale and made by ship modelers. One caveat is that you cannot stop buying from either of them! ;)

Ya, Syren model company has my favorite rigging line. .2mm and .3mm covers nearly everything. But what about using slightly different rigging line in terms of color? I mean, wouldn't that be accurate considering ships are always replacing newer rope when it gets worn out and would be slightly different in color? I'm doing that with HMS Surprise and I gotta say I like the result.
