I use a cheap airbrush (cost me £14.99 )and has never let me down and I don't use undercoat I just make sure to dispose of any glue marks I usually give it three coatscan you show a little about what technique you use, thanks in advance.
Do you know if it is still on the market?I build the normal okne 40 Yers ago, but modefies into one of the 5 FletcherI had almost forgotten about this build so time to share this build log.
It comes with a bucket full of PE and most of the pictures are what's been done and the squares you see are one centimetre square to give an idea of what I am dealing with.
Oh and there are only 1300 parts.View attachment 94829View attachment 94830View attachment 94831View attachment 94833View attachment 94834View attachment 94835View attachment 94836View attachment 94837View attachment 94838View attachment 94839View attachment 94840View attachment 94841
Fantastic build. Although I have been nearly retired from the building- both Wood and Plastic, I wouled like to get the hand of this one. If I can get it , I will make some modification to meet the Spanish Fletcher "LEPANTO" which have a tripod mast with much more electrnick. One of the aft gun as well one set of torpedos has been changed too. There were 5 in Spain in the 1970 th. 3 were modefeid. As I have myself a new toy in the form of a PE Bender I dug out this build and continued the buckets of PE this time it's the turn of the searchlight platform.
And as with my PE it never looks like the picture and any weathering will be done nearer the end of the buildView attachment 110906View attachment 110907View attachment 110908View attachment 110910View attachment 110911View attachment 110912View attachment 110913View attachment 110914View attachment 110915View attachment 110916
