Model Shipways Pinky Schooner "Glad Tidings"

This kit comes with its own set of unique challenges; eg. Two rows of little stanchions that have to be glued into little notches in the deck at juuuust the right angle to recieve the "floating" bulwarks. this is critical to being able to fit the "flying 'tombstone' transom" between the tail ends of the bulwarks where they come together overhanging the stern. Then the bulwarks have to be bent and twisted outward to receive the "tombstone" which is held in place (hopefully) by the springiness of the bulwarks. This took a bit of careful sanding and repeated fitting until the tombstone would fit snugly in place. A reeeeealy fiddley bit of work!
The sides and bulwarks are over planked with Tanganika strip wood (veneer) "pickled" (wiped on , wiped off) with yellow ochre acrylic.
