Model Shipways 1/8 scale "yellow box" USS Essex

Model Shipways has an admiralty style Essex in 1/76. It came out in 2015. Very little build activity on this kit on build logs.

The book, "The Frigate Essex Papers", by P.F. "Chad" Smith Is the accurate account of the "Essex". Make sure the plans , which were drawn by William Baker are included. There are copies available on eBay

Did you ever get the plans you are asking about? I have a set and several books let me know. I will mail the plans on Monday in a tube. They are mostly photo copies but very usable . I can send you prices in a private email.
