Looking for recommendations of what model to build next after finishing St Roch.

Does anyone have any recommendation of what model to move on to after building the St Roch? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks.
What do you like to be your next model? Do you find building St Roch challenging for you or simple enough? Do you want to build another solid hall model or try your hands on POB (Plank Ob Bulheads)? How much do you want to spend on your next kit? Do you like wood or plastic models? What scale your next model should be? Is this should be period or a modern ship?

How about the POF Bluenose by YQ. In addition, it is a group build and so you can go to the section to review build log etc? I will add that I know nothing about this company other than I have not seen another POF Bluenose.

Hello Jimsky, Thank you very much for your recommendations.
Here are some answers to your questions.

I found the St. Roch challenging. When I started it, I really thought I was in over my head. However, I surprised myself.
I am hoping that the new model will give me a similar experience.

I am not fussy about the scale but smaller is probably better since we have no space to display.

I have no experience with plastic and would prefer another wood model.

The list you have provided is extremely useful and is within my budget.

glad to help! Feel free to post questions as you might have them. Oh...almost forget, consider having a build log once you make the decision and acquire a new model kit.

I’s the b’y that builds the boat and I’s the b’y that sails erh. I’s the by that catches the fish and brings em home ta Lizer.

As a displaced Canadian (BC vintage) I see you enjoyed your 1st Canadian themed build. How about starting with a simple lined Newfoundland dory as a scratch build challenge. Most good hobby shops supply various sizes of woods you need which limits the need for specialised tools. Don’t know for sure but there are likely to be plans available, research is part of the fun and frustration.

I found once I started building from scratch I can’t stop.
