Ahoy from London!
I am a member of the Friends of HMS Wellington, a Grimsby class sloop moored on the Victoia Embankment in London. Until recently she was the HQ and Livery Hall of the Honourable Company of Master Mariners and boasted an impressive array of interesting artefacts, ship models, displays, and paintings related to the history of Britain’s maritime heritage, albeit chiefly focussed on the MN. Unfortunately, the HCMM vacated the ship to move ashore last April, and all such items were removed from the ship when they left. Including several museum quality models of HMS Wellington as she appeared during WWII. The intention is to replace the models at some point but we do not have any plans to work from. I've seen models of other Grimsby Class Sloops that were part of the Australian and NZ Navy so suspect that the plans are out there somewhere and wondered if anyone on this forum might be able to help, please.
Many thanks
Richard
