I started this about 4 years ago and various life things got in the way. But, after about 1300 hours if work, she us finally finished.
This is my second ship model so I've put a picture of her alongside my first...HMS Endeavour.
This hobby now has me in a vice grip after 50 years as a plastic modeler!
Hope you like her!

What a treat! Thanks for sharing these. All the hours were well spent. I hope your family appreciates these heirlooms you have created and how special they are. Okay

As I'm on the verge of starting my own Victory model, a Panart 1:78, it was wonderful to see your very good work!
Thank you. It was amazing fun but a project that long and daunting will give you occasional headaches! And remember, she had 105 guns. Lots of doors to cut and fit!

Love the furled sails. Two beautiful models.
Thanks. I like the sails to look "heavy" and canvas doesn't do that. These were made using double layers of model airplane tissue, painted and weathered a little then soaked and crumpled. I like the overall effect.....not everyone's cup of tea though. However, these works are always a little bit of license.
