Robert Newton portrayed the iconic Long John Silver and became the architype of movie pirates for all time!
There hasn't been a better movie, or television version since!
Watching Bobby Driscoll as Jim Hawkins desperately climbing the rigging with the pirate, knife in his teeth and murder in his eyes close on his heels still stops my heart to think of it,73 years later!
