Hello from Washington state

Nice coppering job, and what a great whaleboat. I made my first ones out of paper, planking them up over a mold, but then decided two of them were too lousy to use. I remade those and decided all were too lousy to use. I finally hunkered down and carved them out. Tom Lauria, an excellent modeler, told me the boats were in fact not all the same size, and Karl Herring, another fine modeler, told me they were often painted differently so they could be distinguished from the ship. I really didn't want to hear it, and so stuck with her earlier presentation (Colonel Greene's?)
