Hello all. I live about 35 miles south of San Francisco, in the redwoods about 10 miles from the coast. I recently rekindled my interest in steam and I recently completed a Chiltern beam engine with vertical boiler, dynamo, lights, etc. A friend is a woodworker who has built model boats, and we decided to build a steam boat together. He'll build the boat, and I'll provide the power. To that end I now (as of yesterday) have an MSM 4049 steam plant with their twin cylinder oscillating engine and vertical boiler (which I have yet to run, as it came with an incorrect part). A link on MSM's site led me to the Krick Borkum, which led me to a build log here using the same setup. I'm here to continue my education on this engine and model boats. I'll be setting up a test bed soon for wet and dry testing and RC setup. Regards, Scott Eldredge
