Hi All,
and thank you for letting me join this group! My name is Mikko and I'm currently working on my first wooden ship model, the OcCre Polaris.
I used to do scale modeling when I was younger, mainly aircraft and armor, but building wooden ships is a whole different ball game!
Currently my progress has been quite slow due to other aspects of life, such as work, other hobbies, two relatively young children etc., but I´m not in a
hurry. Eventually this wonderful little schooner Polaris will leave my shipyard sea worthy.
One thing this hobby has taught me is not to rush things. Measure, check, dry fit and do it again. I also started a build log of my own so that I don´t forget
about the lessons learned during this project. I´ll start a build blog soon in this site as well.
I´m looking forward having a lot of good discussions with all of you!
