A sad footnote: I don’t know if you guys noticed my lovely rich deck colour has lightened dramatically. Well this happened a while back when I left my Xebec (forgot to pack it away) in the South African sun for 4 hrs….o_O. Not unhappy with the result thoROTF
Cheers Grant

A very nice rigging job, Grant. With a nice contrast with the sun-colored deck.
Regards, Peter

Man oh man - that rigging looks great! Grant, you have really taken this build to heart, and it shows in every little detail of your work. The rigging, rope quality, blocks - everything - just looks superb!

BTW. did you leave her out in the living room?

Good afternoon Heinrich. Thank you. I am still holding my breath that each line tensions in the manner I am hoping. I have not followed any instructions with this stay design, more a combination of the Le Requin and the Occre Cazador. lets see. No I left it on the corner of my bar where the sun comes in instead of putting it back in the center. No worries tho it still looks good. Cheers Grant

Good morning. Ricochet Rabbit is back:p
Got tired of doing the main mast stays so decided to work on the forestay. Most Xebecs I have seen use a tan rope for this but I have decided to keep all the “standing” stays brown. Used a 0.6mm rope.

Top block. It would have been better to include this in the lashings of all the blocks however I did not add this block.

The sliding hook and ring fashioned from some brass.

Overall apprearance. Still need to add the fore tension rope (also brown) and the rear tension (which will be my first real running line) which will be tan.

This will give you exiting moments, putting tension on all the lines, Grant. Nice brass work!

Thanks Peter. I do think I need to consolidate a little and do some tying off as I’m getting plenty falls hanging….
Again impressive rigging!
(Still no sign of sails, yet?)
Hello Johan. Thanks….nope not yet or maybe never…. Speechless
Wow Grant, super nice rigging work. Very impressive.
Good evening Tobias. Thank - much appreciated.
Cheers Grant

This afternoon I continued with the fore stay. All my running rigging is going to tan rope with light blocks. Nothing is tied off, still figuring out where to.ROTF

Two pics to show the overall effect of the slider movement lines…aft (pic 1) and fore (pic 2). The fore line runs down through a single sheave on the stem while aft via a block attached to the bow sprit.
