GOTHEBORG - MALTA VISIT 2022

Great photos, I was wondering at the lashings for the anchor. Are the anchors left like this when sea going, or are they brought inboard.
I was thinking it was not a great idea to have a heavy lump of iron banging against the Hull.
 
Thank you for taking the time to capture so much detail of the rigging. It makes it so much easier to recreate on our models what we can see close up in reality, at least for me it does. Again thank you.
 
I have my grandson (from Götheborg, engish spelling Gothenburg) staying with me in Australia and showed him the figurehead picture and he instantly recognised the ship. Great photos of a magnificant ship. Thanks for sharing them Joe.

Reading the plaque about “this piece of oak” sent a chill up my spine. I could feel the history, feel the agony and ecstasy of the people who built and crewed the original ship. Just one small piece of wood evoked a great big feeling!
