On this forum I found a wonderful plan set review of LE FLEURON 64-gun Ship by Joseph & Blaise OLLIVIER – 1729 by Gerard Delacroix and Jean Boudriot
https://shipsofscale.com/sosforums/...9-by-gerard-delacroix-and-jean-boudriot.2885/
Almost convinced me to commit to build that ship. However, I always wanted to build Hms Victory but I’m looking to get a very good planset as detailed as Le Fleuron one.
I consider buying this book: H.M.S. Victory. Building, restoration & repair 1966
However, would someone be able to confirm if those 2 volumes be everything, I need to build the model, I want to build it in 1:50 scale preferably.
All I heard is that it is incredibly good book, but I couldn’t find any satisfactory description of it and of what it contains.
I understand that this book obviously is about building and restoration of the Nelson’s ship. However, does it contain plans, pictures sufficient to build the model or it is more like supplementary position treating about history of the ship so I still would need to acquire the plans elsewhere?
