Two more of the 12 ships destroyed at Norfolk harbor in 1861. (the New York was on the stocks being converted to steam) So far completed the Pennsylvania, the Columbus, and the United States.
Most of the hull work is done on the Columbia. I will be making the main gun deck cannon carriages and put them in place. Then I will put the spar deck on.
Spar deck on the Columbia is just about done. The angled channel in the seam at the base of the wale and the deck is going in today. The odd gun port here and there needs a little more shaping/sizing.
done with the carronade carriages for the Columbia. Making and seizing the recoil rope to eye bolts to install when the barrels get here from Blue Jacket. Also finished the ship's wheels for the Columbia and Raritan. One has 12 spokes instead of the normal 10 because I was on the 9th spoke of the second wheel when I realized I had too many!
Carronades The Columbia are finished. The spar deck 32 pounders for the Raritan are almost complete. The small rectangles of card stock are the trunnion saddles on the 32 pdrs.
Bow knees roughed in. See previous posts to see what it will look like complete. The eagle carving will be somewhat different, as are the beak head decorations. Columbia's has slightly less scroll work and an indented clover leaf in the upper scroll circle
90% of the spar deck furniture is complete on both frigates. I still need to finish the carronade gun tackle on the Columbia. Waiting on 2mm double sheaves from Dry Dock Model parts for that. The Shoulder injury I incurred about 14 months ago is 80%or healed. Luckily it was not a torn rotator cuff, only some tendon damage. So, now I can take up rigging the ratlines on Delaware and installing the shrouds on the Germantown.

Most of the Standing rigging on both the Columbia and Raritan is done. I have the spanker and gaff rigged on the Columbia. I am cutting the Octagonal sections on the yards for both ships starting tomorrow. I have not photographed both ships together in some time, so, I thought I would do so now.
