Hi.
Anyone know what was the thickness of the rope "mainmast lower part stay(100%)"
on the French vessels from 1680th to 1700th in 1/1 scale?
I can't find this information anywhere, it's possible the rope was about 3.5 inches ?

In 1/36 scale its a 2,44mm, im making La Belle 1680. What thickness of rope should I make ?
What do you think about it ?

Its thickness was calculated as 0.166 of the diameter of the lower mainmast in the spotters (the entry point to the deck)

Thank you, I just heard that English measurements are different from French, I know the general formula for rigging, but now I care about high authenticity. Today I received the plans from Ancre, the rigging of La Belle is fully explained there.
