I created this little guy to oversee the construction of a ship while providing a sense of scale for ship model builders. Enjoy!

Scale Ship model Captain Nelson

I created this from a statue of Nelson to be used for scale when crafting a ship model. It may need to be adjusted slightly but gives a good idea when configuring decks and furniture. Offered here is 1/75 scale and 1/32. Feel free to scale your own in Cura.

Thank you for providing this Viggin900. I don't have a 3d printer but have been thinking about getting one or maybe a mill. What did you use to create the file?

Thank you. This is an .obj file you can download and print. I got the scan from a museum website, modded the base and removed floating matter like the sword that wont print. It would be a little tricky for a beginner to print. Its not perfect but there isn't much else out there for scale maritime sailors. The legs can be fragile because of how thin they are so be careful with supports. The smaller the more difficult. Sometime in the future I will find something better and post it. It has really helped me in getting a feel for the size of the ship I am building. Steps,hatches, planks and helm. The tiny one is for the Victory when I build it.

Thanks, someone put a lot of work into that, didn't they. I may have a go at sorting out that sword, though I'm not very good at Blender etc. But if I have any joy, I'll repost.
