Finally Ready to start - USS Enterprise in 1/350

Great looking bench, but too clean, needs stuff in work and tools left laying in the way.

But your off to a great start. Please post updates as you go.

What part of the US are you in Viper.

Your 1/350 USS Enterprise CVN 65 is starting to look really nice.
I have attached a couple of images of mine.
Note the forward hanger deck doors are wrong on the Tamiya model.
I removed mine and I have the Shapeways 3D printed parts That go inside.
You can get all the hanger deck walls and other detailed part to upgrade your model.
All my flight deck detail is painted.
Beau.

Thanks Beau, yours looks really awesome. I was planning to also paint my flight deck instead of using the decals. Been trying to look up reference photos for the on deck tiedowns so as i could incorporate them into my paint scheme of the deck.

More progress to report, about finished with the hull and all its parts. About ready to move to the flight deck and main structure.IMG_20240207_171819861.jpgIMG_20240207_171833875_HDR.jpgIMG_20240207_171852768.jpgIMG_20240207_171928025_HDR.jpgIMG_20240207_171935429_HDR.jpg

what time period does that model represent?
Haven't decided quite as of yet. was figuring on the lines of when I served. that was back in the early 80"s so more than likely I'll fit it out with F-14s and the such.
