hello everyone, does anyone have a link to the documentation - period images / scans / photos of the Dutch fishing boat ARM 82? thank you so much!

Not so easy - maybe with some research we are coming closer
Here you can find a fine model of the ARM 82, which seems the ship registration number in this region.

See ff.e. here

On this model we can find not only the number ARM82, but alos the word "Arnemuiden", which is a small village in Zeeland on the island Walcheren

ARneMuiden 82 - so I guess it was vessel 82 registered in Arnemuiden.

The Arnemuidense Hoogaars, a typical craft in the province of Zeeland in the Netherlands

The Hoogaars was built in 1874 at the yard of Meerman, Arnemuiden. This typical craft finds its origin in the province of Zeeland in the Netherlands. However, unsuited fort the sea they went out to fish mainly for shrimps in the river Scheldt estuary. The catch was boiled on board and sometimes exported to England by the mail boat from Flushing.

The sail number BR6 and name Helena Cornelia did not belong to this original ship; it was meant as a tribute to the family of the model maker, Jan van den Heuvel, that owned and worked with a similar craft.

Dimensions :
Hull length: 12.30 m
Beam: 4.10 m
Depth of hull: 1.60 m

Full building plans, instructions and scantlings for this particular model can be found in the book “DE HOOGAARS en de visserij van ARNEMUIDEN” by Jules Van Beylen, Hedeby Publishing, Leeuwarden, 1993, ISBN 90-74541-03-8.

This model was built by Jan van den Heuvel, Philippine, Netherlands, in the years 1999 - 2001 with great care of details. It was built in all of its interior and the timberwork like a real ship. The model is a true masterpiece, and photos of various stages in construction are available.

The model is 1 : 10 scale. Length over all is 165 cm (bowsprit and mainsail boom included), width is 50 cm, height is 135 cm (model stand included)
The ship can be taken out of the stand, e.g. for transport.

There are several views of the entire ship model taken from all directions, and several closer views of hull, deck and rigging. Click images to enlarge!

Hi

The Arm 82 is a hoogaars which is an old type of fishing vessel from the Zeeland area.
There are different sizes of hoogaars but the dimension ratios are equal.
Below you can find a link of the organisation of the protection of the hoogaars.
Here you find original hoogaars ship but also drawings etc.
Hope it will help you.

it's worth checking out the ssrp website. Freely translated, it's the Foundation for Round- and Flatbottom yachts. The 'stamboek' (like a family tree) details its history. Let us know if you get stuck with translating;-)
