I am very happy to make this announcement of a future meeting - based on a personal invitation I received shortly ago by the organisator Hubert Flatrès

On 19 and 20 October 2024, Evian Modelism with the support of the town of Evian les Bains, the Association of Friends of the National Marine Museum, the Association of Lacustrine Sails and the ANCRE publishing house, we organise a great meeting on the art of naval modeling and arsenal. This is a friendly meeting allowing the exchange between quality modelists and to be able to show what modelers know to do with their own hands. During this unique event, a large part of the associations linked to the lake heritage of Geneva and the local museums will be present. Also the countries that will take part in the registration of the intangible cultural heritage of the art of navigation by the Latin sailing will gather on Evian during this event.

Dear modellers,

In 2019 I was already in Evian on the French side of Lake Geneva. There I was able to travel with the Savoie and meet many French colleagues.

The following year, a larger exhibition was planned, but it fell victim to the well-known circumstances. Now wse are already waiting impatientely for the 19 + 20 October 2024. And more than half a dozen of our german ship modeling collegues are alraedy about to form a nice "délégation allemande"

I am already in contact with the organisers in Evian, they are looking forward to participants from all over the world

I have the feeling that this time it will be more like our convention in Rochefort - coming together and showing a lot of different ship models, built by modelers from different countries

The pressure is getting bigger and bigger - in the meantime we got also the add on information of a further delegation from Toulousse with several additional models - in the meantime we will see already more than 50 models

This sounds ok for me - I expect that I need appr. 300 hours more for my model - so less than 1 hour a day .......

Not Adi (until now ) - it is the Le Coureur von Dieter alias Jack Stay
