CAF 1/48 Scale La Renommee 1744

Finished building Frame 58ABC and 58, and installed them(a little tricky). Took Model completely out of jig to access stern components better, and address some frames out of line. Back into Rear Jig to start dry fitting stern components. Still no final beveling or sanding completed.

Decided to begin the majority of beveling and sanding of the exterior/interior frames, rather than adding the stern structure. Remembering how many times I broke the fragile stern structure on the HMS Enterprise, i figured I should get the sanding completed first. Started on the port side exterior today, still lots of fine tuning sanding to do.

Kurt, great idea! thanks! Caf included Brass strips to make the rings, they can be a little difficult to work with
It is working very good with the brass strips from CAF - due to their form they will fit very good - after soldering the ends together and blackaning you can easily push them over the barrels

barrels and boxes of my Le Coureur

- do not use the center one / the streight ones - there was no installed around the barrel

Good morning Paul. Wow. A lot of work and looking stunning. Must have been a celebration to finish off the frames. Cheers Grant
