I can't seem to get the idea of building a wooden kit out of my mind since last fall so, I (re-)started my search a few days ago for a (kind of) affordable first kit which I can slaughter without much remorse

In this process, the nice lines and what seems to be a less complicated overall hull shape, made the larger scale Britannias from Mamoli and Mantua kind of stand out. The problem is that while I found a great build log for the one from Mamoli on here, the Mantua kits is absent on the intwerwebs or at least invisible to my search fu.
Does the public agree on which one of these two is the better option for a beginner or in general? While the building materials and details are probably up to pair on both, it's the instructions that would make the difference, I guess, especially for a beginner like myself.
I have rather extensive experience with plastic kits but that doesn't seem to be of much help in this genre
