I've noticed a number of Dory Build logs and thought some reference pictures may be of help, especially to first time builders. Like many modelers I try to gather as much info as I can regarding a particular project.
I am a Volunteer at Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Ct. and regularly pass by some of the Dory Boats which were part of the L. A. Dunton exhibit. Recently I have been working on the Dunton which is undergoing a full restoration. Every time I walk on and off the ship I pass by the Boats in the pictures.
It appears to me the Model Expo Grand Banks kit is very similar to the pictured Dory's. Nevertheless, of particular interest to someone new to the hobby may be how the hull planks taper. The bottom corner of the stern is not rounded but a straight angle.
