I have seen several different brands of ink and other substances used by builders to help color or give the wood a weathered look.

So I wanted to start a separate thread to help get them listed so other can track them down when needed.

One brand I have used on several models for decks and masts/spares is called Hunterline.

I have used this for my other hobbies, mainly model railroading.

This product is a an rubbing alcohol based product so it can be diluted if needed.

They are a Canadian company and provide great service. They sell 8 oz bottles and have many colors available.

Here is a link to their website with a comparison chart of what they sell.

Model rail road hobby has a much more mature source for weathering materials. When searching check out model rail road sites. There are many products used for years by model rail road enthusiasts that are being discovered and crossed over to model ship building…who knew?
