Hello guys & gals,

I'm from the UK & this is my first ship & my first post.

I'm trying to decide what to build next after the Occre Endeavour.

I have been looking at the "Mantua HMS Victory 1:98 scale 776". I would greatly appreciate any advice on what the model kit quality is like (& also the instructions)?

If there are better alternative suggestions within a similar price range, I'd love to hear from you.

Please see the nearly finished model below to give you an idea of my abilities:

what stain did you use on the upper haul right below the blue?
sorry not the question you asked.

Thanks

what was the hardest part to build?:

The masts & rigging. The instructions end at this point, so you have to work entirely off plan.

would you have sone anything different?:

To use white glue instead of impact adhesive on the deck & hull. Also use diluted white glue on the rigging because thin cyano makes the thread brittle.

how many hours to build?:

Nearly a year so far. More than an hour's work most evenings.

what stain did you use on the upper haul right below the blue?:

The Occre stain that is recommended in the manual. The pdf manual can be downloaded from the Occre website.

sorry not the question you asked.

No probs
