Another Hobbies old time ship plan loosely based on the "Royal Prince" of 1610. I say loosely based as these plans only incorporate 36 gunports while the Royal Prince of 1610 did indeed have 55 guns, that said these old plans while moderately accurate were never 100% or meant to be, more being attractive and simplified for the beginner/average modelmaker/woodworker to build bk in the 50's.
"THE ROYAL PRINCE" built in the Reign of Charles II and famously involved in the Anglo Dutch wars.
Battles involved in:
Battle of Kentishknock
Battle of Gabbard
Battle of Scheveningen
Battle of Lowestoft
Four Days Battle.
This is Definitely one I would like to try my hand at, maybe not for the Accuracy or Quality but for pure Historical attribute and with lots of Improvisation room.
This builds to a good size for its Plan age.
Length - 22inches (55.88cm)
Height - 19inches (48.26cm)
