10 years ago, a sailor friend of mine asked me if I'd be willing to build him a wooden 24 foot sailboat around an old Shark 24 fiber glass hull. I could'n resist. So 2 years later he had a nice wooden sailboat.enfin a l'eau.jpg
The thing is, aside from a shop full of wood scrap, I didn't have anything to remind me of the project. So I decided to scratch build the boat at 1/16 scale.

As you can see, the mast and rigging are really crappy so for my next project, I'm going to redo all that crappy stuff. I'll also complete the model itself and bring it as close as I can to the full scale boat I built. You can view both the full scale and 1/16 model build by clicking the appropriate link in my signature below.
More to come...

So we can hope to see the work on this model in a building log, or?
BTW: I like both of them in 1:1 (great looking boat) and also the smaller one

OK, so I started or rather continued this scratch build and here's what been done to date:
(I'll try to post a picture of the real feature next to the scaled one)

1- all hatchs done along with tiny bungee cords and hooks
2- main mast with custom base
3- many rigging brackets
