Hello again! While other projects are running along, i might as well start a thread about this kit too. I got it a long-ish time ago and i went through it's parts and did some little assembly tasks for it too, but then i broke one of the planks and it kind of killed my mood on forwarding this particular kit, and then i had a move where i lost my ship kits for quite a long while. Now i found them and thought to post this one here too. 357323797_804654784745245_420422075085456940_n.jpg
Kit box. Nice photo, my box has gotten some storage damage though, the fall and spring in outdoors storage did some moisture damage on the cardboard box.

I carved and painted the oars.

The mood killer. I was fiddling with these planks and trying their flexibility (should not have, these 100% need a good soak/steaming before bending, as these have laser scored line at the breaking point resembling a joint in the real boat's planks. the plank broke along that line even though it was not deep - so if anyone of you builds this kit, my suggestion is to support these parts during the bending process with clamps that hold reinforcement plates etc. on the scored line! Now i gotta figure out what to do with this one. I will try to contact the manufacturer if i could purchase a new set of planks. If not, i will make new one from local plywood.

At least i have some research to do while waiting for an answer from the factory - i bought this book a week ago when i was in norway travelling and visiting some boat museums (if you want photos, i could make a thread for them on the forum!) This book has 461 pages of information on oselvar boats and then a ton of pages that consist of the list of sources for the book. Also say hi to Paju and Tiku, my and my better 3/4ths's button quails! They are both utterly interested and scared to death about anything and everything i do on my desk!

Usually we see dogs and cats in the workshop - but these are the first quails !!!!
Interesting project and mayn thanks for starting a log of this (foe me) unkown kit.
BTW: Photos of the museum trip are welcome and would be interesting - so please start a log in this area
