Hi Everyone
Not sure if anyone is interested in this as it is a pretty basic and simple model ship plan.
These and many more were issued by the "HOBBIES ANNUAL" here in the UK back in the 30's 40's 50's & 60's. These plans were set out as basic scratch build from wood and would have been the way to go back in that era of learning this art.
This simplified BONAVENTURE GALLEON is based on the "ELIZABETHAN BONAVENTURE 1567". She was commanded by Francis Drake that took part in the attack on CADIZ 1587. She was then part of the fleet that attacked the SPANISH ARMADA 1588.
I have a few more plans like these incase anyone is interested probably only from a historical perspective as these were made in a time long before plastic injection moulded kits. Also wood packs to build each different type ship were available to buy separately from the plan sheet where the modeller would build from scratch. No laser cut or printed wood parts.
