ZHL Royal Caroline Kit, scale 1/30

Hi John,

Nice door knobs, did you make them your selve?

Regs Maarten

G'day Maarten, I had some thick brass pins that had a head that is approx 2.5mm across and these are what I used, see pics below,

I had blackened them for another job I was doing,

706.jpg
So I used some fine sandpaper and took the blackening off,

Side view,

thanks for looking in,

best regards John.

You have a good macro-function on your camera.......or very big fingers ;-)
Many Thanks for sharing this detail....

Hi John,

Thx for sharing, I'd like the result. Keep it in mind for my doors. I now created door handles from copper wire. I hope to update my log this weekend.

I took some closer looks at the photos and I want to ask you something, which I marked in blue on your photo of one of your last posts
701_1.jpg
WE can see at the sides of the doors to the cabin one vertical carving bands (arrows), which are looking a little bit lost for me.
Cound it be, that they should be a little bit closer to the doors, so that the curved carvings over the doors have a connection, like a flower frame around the doors?
The possible locations are marked with the blue dashed / dotted line....... just a thought

I decided to make a conventional cradle rather than sit her on the pedestals as she will be moved around a lot and I was frightened of her tipping over, whether i leave this as the main stand I don't yet know,
