Now its on to the rudder,

This is the part you get, ( Tiller arm, thank you Uwe ) and in the pic this is what you have to make it to look like

And sitting on top of the rudder

And after whittling sanding and bending this is what I ended up with, I wasn't brave enough to take it any further

complete view of the rudder.

thanks for looking,

best regards John.

The tiller (I think this is the correct word of this part on top of the rudder?) looks very good.
Regarding the spigot....thanks for showing us the "real" size, which makes it clear for me -> leave it like it is----it is realy small enough

G'day John
I think it's amazing how much that you havta bend the tiller, and to me you were very brave to go that far.
Was it easy to bend at that size. Did you soak it in hot water before bending. Did you make a jig to hold the curve?

Thank you Uwe, I could not remember what it was called, I have edited the post and added the right name with a credit to you, as regards the spigot I might just file the front part of the tap a little bit, thank you for visiting my build and your comments, they are much appreciated,

best regards John.

G'day Greg, I hope you are feeling better today,

I will tell you how I bent the arm if you don't tell anyone else, so I will whisper it to you,
Pssst Pssst Pssst Pssst Pssst Pssst Pssst Pssst,
there ya go, now keep it to yourself,

best regards John.

What I did was to look at the their pic and I saw that I had to trim the wood from the top of the tiller in a curve, and then wet it and bend it up, so after trimming to shape and wetting I then used an Amati plank bender, very carefully to create the bend, then when it was dry I sanded it and then soaked it with CA glue to harden and strengthen it.

I was told by Max, that they have 2 RC models and they wouldn't be doing another one. It's a pitty though.

Hmmm, I always like to look around the net and plan my next kit even though I'm only a 3rd through my current project. I like the look of the big Bellona at 1/48 scale its massive, but not plank on frame unfortunately.

John, sorry for the thread drift.

I see some talk on the Chinese 4hmodel forum about a new high end model called “The Sun King” supposedly from the company(Shi Hai) that makes the Pegasus may be happening if I got the translation right. The translation of The Sun King I assume is most likely The Soleil Royale. If indeed true and what I read was accurate, going by the caliber of their Pegasus full frame kit it will be the bees knees.
Apology No 2 for the drift.
