I am in the early stages of building HMS Victory. My wife bought me the Corel a long time ago. The kit contains many pressed wood fiber fittings, especially for dressing out the stern and bow. I have never worked with this type of material before. Anyone have any suggestions or tips. They look extremely fragile.

If they are like chipboard with pressed wood particles, they will swell up if they come into contact with water. This happens with the underlayer of laminate flooring if it becomes wet. Just a thought. A photo of the parts would be helpful to see what you are dealing with.

I tried posting pictures but they will not post. Sizes are 8kb to 40kb. Any suggestions? Do I need any additional permissions for pictures?
They appear to be a wood mixture paste that were embossed.
My main concern is they are extremely brittle and I'm not sure they would survive an attempt to bend them for installation. Especially the curves needed at the bow and stern.
I tried emailing Corel, but have not received any response.

I will get back to you in a minute on this. For now, there are several reasons you might be having problems. One of the most common are these two that come to mind:

1) you are using Windows Paint and Windows image resizer, which might seem to resize the image to you, but the EXIF image data (original image info) is being posted so the forum thinks that it is still a huge file when it is not.
2) You might be clicking on the "submit" button on your post "before" the image has had time to "upload" this is also a common occurance.

You should see a "green" check mark on the right side of upload image dialog box.

My next question would be what image or graphic software are you using?

I have a video or tutorial on the forum and I have to look that info up for you.

Also take a look at these that I found here on the forum:

The software I used to resize is Microsoft Digital image Pro. Don't think they even sell it any more. It worked on all other sites where I needed to post pictures.

I tried attaching the pic's again and got the same results. the status bar rolls thru to 100% green tha changes over to a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it.

I tried with your suggested online resizer and the same results.

I have to be doing something wrong.

I made sure I had some text in the message box each time I attempted the upload. Nada

A test;

Using my new Imgur account. Successfully learned how to resize my images and save them on my saved images so they could be posted here by using the resized saved picture and the listed BBCode.

Seems to work ok. Lost several thousand pics when PB went bezerk. Not sure if I'll want to place pics on a hosting site again. Sure looks bad when I go back to a thread or a post and all I see is "This photo has been deleted or moved".

Anyway, it works here. Thanks for all your hard work Donnie.

G'day bozobozo, with regards to the decorations, they are made out of what we used to call plastic wood and if you warm them with a ladies hair dryer they become pliable and supple, I have built a two of Corels Victory's and the hair dryer is what I used both times, and I glued them in place with CA glue, hope this helps you out,

best regards John.
