good luck with this kit. I built it about 20 years ago but didn't finish it, as I was disappointed with the fittings and timber supplied in the kit.
I wish I had scratch built the cannon carriages instead of the chunky solid wood carriages supplied and the white cast metal gunport hinges would have been better if they were photo etch brass.

Anyway I'm sure you will do a superb job building it. Its a great kit to take to the next level with added scratch detailing. cheers.

Tnx . Gonna work from the plans and some scratch items. Dowloaded and printed about 209 pages from the built in 3 levls. The normal built and the experiant and expert. Shall see where it end. ....
My occre kit is more dissapointing. Lot of wood damaged some parts for the stairs missing. Cannon ports missing. Cannon headges with only 1 pin to fit in ports instead of 2. Gonna write them again with pictures.

Well did some deck planking. Have to make some gunports at the hight of quarterdeck. Dont know if i have to do the other 3 decks first and dryfit them and then cut the ports or first cut the ports. And after that the second hull planking.

Today made all the decks to fit.have to change a lot. The man who in bought it from has instalt the frame not so nice. Also the gunports are about 5 mm of.made all the crates for every deck. Have to cut out some cannon ports now i can see if it is at the good hight now decks are in shape.foto's are from the decks that didnt fit.

Ik have decided to make the cabine first before i start with the second planking. I dont want to glue it on the second planking but make the second planking a round the cabine. Its also to see if i can make it because if the cabines fail i cant Go further because aan ship without nice cabines is a waste. After that i am gonna plank the other deks and place the cannons i cant reach any more if the decks are installed and work my way up with the second planking of the hull with the decks i put in place .

Yes it had real wood planking on the cabin, it's just an easier way to do it with the cardboard,

Best regards John,
