I somehow Missed this post so Thanks for the warm welcome.
I have been building models my whole life, but was bitten by the Wood ship bug around 10 years ago. I have a good number of builds complete.
I am a Doer and I have a lot of hobbies. I have a small, but capable machine shop, foundry and forge I like working with metals even more so then wood. I have my own 3D printer and Laser engraver/cutter. I'm an avid outdoorsman Hunt, Fish, hike and rock climb. I build my own Bows and arrows using Native American techniques a Trade passed down from my grandfather who was a Cherokee Indian. I flintknapp and make stone tools by Native methods as well as Native American Flutes and atlatls. I teach primitive Trapping and survival Skills acquired through my Grandfather and the USMC. I fly RC planes and Drones and like building both myself. My thought is to never buy anything I can make myself and that has served me well throughout my life and is the main reason I do so many things. I just wish I had more time and I hate having to sleep when I could be working on something.

That's me in a nutshell. hope I can help some folks out and I'm sure I'll learn a ton and have already on this forum. I see a lot of amazing work being done by skilled craftsmen.
