Hi members, this is the Stadt von Bremen,it is an 4hmodel kit, which I am modifying to looks like the Dutch ,,Statenjacht De Utrecht ".
The kit is an Chinese brand, which I know many peoples do not like, but this ship is not manufactured by any other companys as I know ( I am talking about Stad von Bremen ),so I will not be worried about the copyrights.
It was a small yacht/kind of boat heavily decorated, which is typical for that period of time.
I did bought an upgrade kit,cnc carvings, but I did contacted a wood carver and he did a custom figurehead and some decor as well!

CNC upgrade kit:
These are the cnc upgrades, also Chinese brand, the wood have to be neatly cleaned, cause there is a lot of dirt in between, really a time consuming job,but we all know this hobby is all about time and patience.
After the clean up I did polished the carvings with rubber polishing wheel/polishing head disc. This was my friend's advice and I want to thank him once again. Thanks Janos.

Interesting kit, which looks like it is realy good quality. Also the original carvings from the upgrade. But definitely the additional ordered are high quality.
This kind of Jaghds / yachts were very common at this time in the coastal area in the North Sea, Dutch but also at the later German areas.....
I have a monographie / planset drawn by Wolfram zu Mondfeld of the Max Emanuel, kurfürstliche Jaghd by 1711, which is showing very similar lines. Maybe it would be helpful for you later on for the masting, belaying points, rigging etc. - you can send me a message whenever you want.

cant find a 4hmodel website, just traffic counter info.

Nice model kit overall by the looks of it. Strangely the Chinese retailers on ebay have a similar one, only in Plank on Frame version called "Utrecht Pegasus". Has the same carvings in the kit as your upgrade option.

Somewhat hard to claim its a pirate model.

Hi JZd,

Look beautiful, what is the scale of this kit.
I know the jacht Utrecht quite well, you can rent it for parties or sail a day trip on it. It is really a stunning vessel.

Dont want to insult the dutch modelers here, but can anyone explain why all the dutch figure heads of lions always look constipated or like they were drawn by someone on an acid trip?

Hi there,I will call it evolution, the first one was the Stadt von Bremen, which came out few years ago, then they made the first attempt to upgrade the kit with the cnc carvings, to looks like a different ship-Utrecht Statenjacht. But eaven with the upgrade, this model wont be the same, cause it is shorter by 2,3 cm then the Utrecht replica in 1/50 scale.
In 2017 they completely recrafted the model using Gilbert McArdle book: Scratch Builing the Yacht Utrecht. The new kit will be released in 2018 and it will be an admirality style model.
Another inspiration came from the Pegasus yacht autor Ivan Trtanj.
I would say,the new kit is an mixture of 2 ships, just have a look and see yourself.

Hi Maarten, the scale is in the description- 1/50
and Yes,the decor made it looks really nice it was one of the reasons why I have chosen this model

The Utrecht Pegasus full frame kit has all components CNC pre cut and shaped except for planking. No laser char to worry about. There are no metal components in the kit aside from photo etched rudder hinges and leeboard fittings. Shaped masts and spars are included though one has to scratch build the rigging and rigging plans are included. As it was prepared for competition build it should be relatively quick to complete to admiralty standard.
