Santa Maria - Mantua - scale 1:50 modified kit semi scratch and diorama

Looking great, Zoltan. Are you thinking of doing any weathering on the scaffolding, ladders etc to give a used look?

Hi Zolly,

Thanks,Mike

Arrr! She's coming together.
I missed the last few updates for some reason.

Yes, the BBQ. I'm starving.
Hope you don't mind Zoltan, but I brought my crew over for a shindig BBQ. Of course we raided your storage hut.

Hallo Peter,
This is very interesting drawing showing the slipping devices used in the 19th century for a ship of this size of a frigate.
We can imagine, how many ships had before problems and even accidents, that they could improve the techniques in such a way. For the Santa Maria which was much smaller and 350 years earlier I am pretty sure, that the dock yard was much more simple. Many thanks for sharing.

Hi Zolly
You are doing a fantastic job on your build.
Do you plan on putting sawdust and off cuts of wood on the floor or may be a stone or two.

Denis.
