Just caught your latest update Zoltan. I am very impressed with the detailed construction of your inner bulwarks and the work on the futtock risers , this is going to be a fantastic ship!

Just looking around and stopped by to see if you had any new updates on your little ship, but it looks like I am just a bit too early. Will drop in again in a day or so. I was just wondering what Proxxon transformer you ordered, the variable NG 5/E or the little cheaper one NG 2/S? Just a bit curious that's all, ENJOY.

Hello Lawrence,I did not order the Proxxon transformer yet,sometimes this weekend or next week,I will order the NG 5/E, NG 2/S is not made for 110V

Great news my plans for the Late Elizabethan Galleon came today, these plans are for no pacific ship. I have been thinking of following in the direction of the Golden Hines, I guess this because my Great Grand Father was a Hines and this seems very fitting for me, but who knows all of that may change, but I doubt it.

In looking over my plans I can not find a steering wheel and was wondering if these ships were steered by a tiller. That seems very unlikely. On your Santa Maria does she have a wheel or just a tiller. I realize that I am way ahead of myself, but I do like to sort these things out ahead of time.

Well, I finally converted my garden tractor over to a lawn mower yesterday as it got up to 85F + and I mowed our lawn today for the first time, it looks rather nice at that. ENJOY.

Hi Lawrence, I don't know if I am going to make a fool of myself, but the galleon was actually called the Golden Hind, however, if it is memory of your ancestor then Hines is befitting of him.

PS We're thinking of laying a low maintenance lawn, very low maintenance, CONCRETE. We keep the grass short so the dogs can fertilize it but they prefer to fertilize the cement driveway!

I thank you very much for your information on the Golden Hind, for some reason I have never noticed that before, I just figured that this build would be a fine tribute to my sea fearing Hines ancestors, will have to give this a bit of thought.

For some reason, a concrete lawn does not appeal to me at all as I do like the smell of a fresh cut lawn and do like to walk on it. However, it sure would cut back on the around the home chores, ENJOY.

Hello everyone,I continued working on the main deck inner bulwark planking ,here some updates.Aso left room for the cannon barrel exit and applied a coat of poly under the quarter deck.

Great job you are doing on your bulkheads and along with your decking and planking. I sure will have to work on a much smaller scale when I do reach this stage.

I have been thinking, I have a DC power supply in the basement left over from my radio days and was wondering if it could be used to power one of those Proxxon Pin Sanders and also give me a speed control at the same time, any thoughts on this little matter, ENJOY.

Thanks Lawrence !!The adapter and the pen sander have a special connector and plug ,to use the pen sander with something else to power up you need to cut of power connector,I wouldn't do that though.I will post some pictures later.
