Hello Zoltan

Golly that sure looks like a very nice kit, lots of very fine details and extra goodies. Did you buy that stern gallery casting or was it part of your kit. I just joined up on the M S B Form and was a bit surprised to find you here. Still looking for a set of build plans for the Spanish Galleon the San Francisco II , seam to be very hard to find, ENJOY.

Regards Lawrence

Hello Lawrence ,I am happy to see you here too,I will try to do a search for you on the San Francisco plans, but I seen you might look into the Santa Maria plans,I can help you with that.

Regards,Zoltan

Hello Zoltan

Yes it's always nice to look around at the other side of the fence, seams like a very nice build Form. As for the Santa Maria I will hold off for a bit longer and search for the San Francisco II, still have a bit of home work to catch up on before I can start a new build. I do thank you very much for your help,
ENJOY.

Regards Lawrence

The castings are part of the kit but I am not going to use them , they are not the best quality.

Hello everyone, thanks to everybody for visiting my build and for the nice comments.I finished the futtock riders on the port side, it doesn't look a lot but they were a lot of work.

Hello Zolton

Great job you have did on your Futtock Riders the sure do look great and well done. I see that you cut your own, were they not supplied in your kit? Just wondering or just being nosy, ENJOY.

Regards Lawrence

Thanks Gary, yes it was a slow process to get the measurments right (26 futtock riders)and also to shape them to fit nicely.

Hello Lawrence ,thanks for visting my log again ,the instruction manual suggesting for futtock riders 5mm wide walnut strips in two layers, but I didn't like that idea.

Hello Zoltan

I would have thought that your kit would have laser cut out these Futtock Riders but to be truthful your scratch Futtock Riders are much better and fit so much better than those that could be supplied in a kit.

I have ordered a set of Harold Underhill's Plans on an Elizabethan Gallant as I could not find a set of plans foe the San Francisco II Just got word that they have to print this set of plans and that will take around 10 days, so in the mean time I am searching the web for ideas on how to build a display case for my HMS Bounty. I do believe that I have most of it figured out and with any luck at all I will soon be making saw dust, ENJOY.

Regards Lawrence

Hello Zoltan

Well done on your added Capstal it sure seams to fit in very well. You are much like I am by adding more detail to your builds, I think it dreses thim up just a bit and makes them more ineresting to look at and also a little bit special, ENJOY.

Regards Lawrence

I am working on the inner bulwark, glued in the waterway on the main deck and also drilled out some scuppers along with the holes for the anchor cables, and drilled the gun ports and dry fitted the gun carriages.
