Santa Maria - Mantua - scale 1:50 modified kit semi scratch and diorama

Good evening everyone, I have a little update, I was building some stairs/ladders for main hatch and quarter deck hatch, also for the forecastle deck, quarter deck, and poop deck.

Hi Zoltan

Nice ladders, love the curve of the treads, most people just do them straight.

Nice work.

Denis.

Thank you Denis, I tried to do my best, although maybe a few ladders need to be redone, not 100 % satisfied with them.

Hello everyone,I was working on installing the channels.

First I glued on a base plate for he channels.

Than I started planking them both sides.

Hi Zoly,

I always enjoy seeing your latest update. You certainly do very nice detailing on your timber work.

Keep up the great work my friend.

Thank you Brian and Denis( popeye)for stopping by and the nice comments,I am a little bit slow these days in the shipyard but slowly making some progress.

Zoltan

Nice going mate. You are doing the Santa Maria proud.

You and Mustafa are making me feel getting my partially completed Santa Maria and pull it apart and redo her.

She is a nice looking ship.

Cheers
Geoff

Hello Zoltan

Just catching up on your very fine build, I see that you have did a very nice job on building all of your stair casings, they sure look good. Nice work on your channels, the planking looks great, one question though, I hope that you pined them also and not rely on the glue alone. The rigging can put a strain on these and cause all sorts of problems if one or two should break away, just a thought, ENJOY.

Regards Lawrence

Good morning guys, thanks Geoff and Lawrence for the nice comments and for visiting my build log.
I applied two coats of poly on the ship, I don't think so will do more.
