Hi to all!
At this time, i'm working on a model Santa Maria on drawings from the book Die Kolumbusschiffe von 1492. 6 Pläne mit Rissen und Detailzeichnungen der "Santa Maria" von H.E. Adametz., H.Winter, 1968.

Interesting ship you are modeling here, also that you had chosen the Adametz version, which are as I know the oldest try of reconstruction of the SM. I think the drawings are from the 60ˋs. Afterwards Mondfeld, pastor and Franco Gay ( Anatomy book) and some others tried to make correct drawings. Nobody knows realy how she looked like. They agree in the meantime that the Santa Maria was from ship-Type a Nao and not a Caravell.
But I am already talking too much.....Interesting ship and very good built, clean and accurate. I will follow your log with big interest.
Are the metal parts produced by yourself? They are looking very good.

Metal parts were made by order at a jewelry factory. Waxy shape, then poured out of brass.

G'day Peter
Just found you amazing log. Your build method is quite interesting and unique. Are there any reason why did you made the bulkheads that way. Are you going to put lights etc inside?

Hi!
Thank you for your attention to my description of constructing the model. I use a google translator. So some things I can not understand -"Are there any reason why did you made the bulkheads that way. " If you can show on the photo, this will be better understood. LEDs on the model I will not do.
This lamp will be on the stern, it has not yet been collected and processed.
