S.O.S Dioramas You would like to build

Here is an add-on scene for a pirate diorama, just like Zoltan's shipyard diorama of Santa Maria.

Zoltan and his crew are genius shipbuilders, so they came up with an improvised BBQ.
Since the crew is too busy to tend a BBQ, they utilized a nearby brook to do it for them.

@zoly99sask
AWESOME examples.
Very impressed by the 'Neva' painting. If I was a Russian, I would definitely have a go at such a diorama (when one gets older, time dictates what to do next).
However, I hope to see another SOS member have a go at this diorama.

The Battleship Vermont launched at Fore River Ship Building Company of Quincy, Mass. on August 31, 1905

One of the deadliest disasters with a ship worldwide (more than with the Titanic) but unfortunately no First Class travelors, therefore often forgotten outside Chicago

On July 24, 1915, employees of Western Electric and their families were preparing for a day of leisure with a company picnic across Lake Michigan in Michigan City, Indiana. Before the boats could even set off from the Chicago River, however, disaster struck when the S.S. Eastland rolled over into the water.

Causes likely included possible neglected maintenance and the large number of people on board weighing down one side too much, making the boat begin to list. The disaster killed 844 people, many because they were trapped in stairwells below deck, or were hit in the head by falling objects.

My wife came up with the plans to recreate a pirate captain's quarters. She normally does creepy miniature dolls but wanted the two of us to work on a project . Our dimensions for our diorama will measure 20" length by 12" height by 9.5" deep. We purchased this size wooden crate at Home Depot to use as our shelf frame. We plan to have a 1/2" 'beam' framing the front of box. Port and starboard walls will slightly curve in towards the stern with 3 stern windows at rear. We can hide the electrical wiring for lantern lights behind the curved walls. Cabin items will include captain's bed, desk, i 24 pound gun, charts, rum bottles, chests, weapons etc. We will include a wooden deck planking. Here's a rough sketch of what we envision: (minus the plate) !

Sounds great Fright.
Why don't you and your admiral do a group build log of this diorama. I, for one, would love to see what you both can come up with. I am certain, it will be great mate.

G'day Peter
Another idea. Why don't you do a
Peter Pan diorama
Have a flying ship with Peter, Wendy etc on board flying on fairy dust with tinkerbell at front. The distance can be the lost boys house at the bay with captain hook' pirate ship ready to blow Peter's flying ship out of the sky.
Happy modeling mate

Getting more serious......there is a place in Bangladesh, where old ships are wrecked directly at the beach, without any safety measures and not thinking about the environment. A terrible business, but it would be a good subject for a diorama....and I think until nobody did something like this
