Panart: San Felipe 1:75 Scale Build Log [COMPLETED BUILD]

Thanks to all for your compliments. I really appreciate it. I am not sure what I got myself into, but now I have to finish what I started. More cut-outs, had to order more lights. Ordered from Evan Designs (www.ModelTrainSoftware.com). I really like doing business with these folks.

On with the show.. I hope the images are self explanatory.

Hi Donnie,

Beautiful build. See you put a lot of work in the finishing and detailing to get it right.

Hi Donnie,
Where do you find time to work on your model with all of the admin work you do? Beautiful work.

Thanks for the compliments. Well, Mike, I had been off work for a solid week and that whole past week everyday was dedicated into getting the forum online. I just had a goal that I wanted to bring in the new year with a new forum. I will be getting back to the SF soon. But, to answer a little more specific, sometimes I have some down time at my office and I can sneak in some forum admin things and test stuff out and when I get home work on the Felipe (SF).
I had to order some more lights from Evans Designs. They are really good. The PICO size is extremely tiny light like .5mm or less. I see that I am going to have to edit my own BL ( Build Log) for Full Scale images.

As a newbie here in SOS just went the first time through your log.
Very clean and accurate work, especially because of the scale, looks very good.
Thanks for posting this log !

It has been several weeks since I published anything here. The Gallery lighting was an experience that I can only recommend before you get to this stage of a build (like me) and then decide to add lights. Oh well. It is what it is. After several neck aches and headaches, I finally got myself through it. The point is that trying to add lights and hide wires was a complete challenge that I am not necessarily looking forward again for a while.
Some pieces have not been glued in yet, but needed to make sure all was well before sealing it up. That is reason why you see lights shining through cracks.

thanks to all for the kind comments. Well, thanks for Zoly and Geoff, I am able to (faster) keep up with things as since things with the forum seems to be settled down for a while, I thought I would dive back in hard at it so I could catch up.

Hi Gary and all. Thank you for the welcoming....yep, I am back at it. Got some catching up to do. Well, this is about it. Finally got the Gallery lights in and all sealed up. Then on to other parts of the Gallery. These kind of jump around a little bit. Got one last shot of the lights on. And speaking of lights. I do want to recongize www.ModelTrainSoftware.com for the lights and the excellent service from "Evans Designs".

Your planking work is realy very accurate and "clean"...... usually in close up photos you can see some inaccuracies, but definitely not at your model
-> GREAT work

G'day Donnie
What more can I say which hasn't been said before!
Amazing craftsmanship mate!
The gold looks great, is it paint or foil?
Havagooday mate

Thank you everyone for the kind words. It is much appreciated. Uwek, well, the planking is all false. I did not feel like laying down real planking. So, I did some things to it to make the planking look a little better and less false looking. So, I can't take credit for the planking - sorry -

Well, on to more photos of the Stern. These little (what looks like sea horses) were very difficult to install. This panart is getting more and more difficult to make things work and fit right.

G'day Donnie
The lights looks great. It was worth all your efforts and 'brain power' that you put into it, to get the wires there.
Well done mate.
