Most probably Panart is jealous at these to use them for their manuals.

Hi Maarten, well, my little point and shoot camera had a nice macro mode for close up. This Cannon Rebel doesn't and just can't seem to get the closeups unless I get a macro lens.

Here's the latest on the Gammoning. It is fair. The rigging line is not that great as it does not like beeswax.

I alswo have built the panart San Felipe but purchased it in 1999. It was a much different kit than the one I see you now have. I had no gun port strip to work from and had to do careful measurements to make it work. I think I like the new kit much better.

I was leaving this part to near last as I did not want these fixtures to interfere if I had to turn the ship upside down. Now, I can start working on the cannons for the deck.

They had several purposes, taking a 15 minute smoke break during the heat of the battle, seeing if the ship was still afloat, docking the ship (for the pilot), and letting the passengers (prisoners) take a short-cut down to the quay-side.

Thanks guys for the education ! Well, I had no idea that something as simple as s would take so much time. But this is it. One done for a whole afternoon (about 3 hours).

The upper wrapping around the top tip of the anchor is horrible and needs to be redone.

Brilliant job on the anchors mate.​

I was wondering if you are going to puddening the anchor rings.

It's like serving the shrouds, but it's the ring that has to be 'served'.
I always tried to do this on all of my models.
I only talking about English ships, but I presume other nationalities do something similar.

I didnt even notice that wrap on the anchor because I was to busy looking at the clean, crisp look at what's behind it. Amazing work colors beautiful, lines beautiful. I may need a video tour of this when your done. My wife saw what I was looking at and commented on how nice this looks. She thinks all of these builds are just clunky looking bits if wood fused together with glue so for her to like what she sees is really saying something.

Again this is my information for an English ship's attachment of the anchor rope. I presume it could be universal.
I can't see how you did the knot, so here's my method.

But instead of finishing the end of the rope at the knot, I tie it up the rope further like this:

This way it's more secure and add a touch of 'class'.

Also are you going to add a boy to the anchor?
